As some of you may have heard, I recently became a Beachbody coach. Now, when people hear that I get mixed reactions – but the most obvious question that I get is “what does it mean to be a Beachbody coach?” The official answer to that is that I have the opportunity to earn an income while I help myself and others live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
But what does that actually mean?
As a blogger, it means my workload really isn’t much different at all. My editorial calendar has simply gotten a sprinkling of health and fitness. In terms of life in general, it just means working a 30-minute home workout into my day-to-day and having the tools to make eating healthy an absolute breeze. It simply means making a commitment to myself to make lifestyle choices that are good for me. To practice self control and to surround myself with people who are going to help keep me accountable. In the process, I simply share and invite others to do the same. That’s it!
As I’ve been doing this over the past couple of months, the main response that I get in rejection to joining this process is that the person doesn’t “have the time to put into something like this” (or something along those lines). However, I’m here to tell you that is just silly. If you don’t think you have the time to do a 30-minute workout or the 30 seconds it takes to whip up a shake containing 9 servings of fruits and vegetables and superfoods (that tastes like a chocolate milkshake), then MAKE the time. Wake up 30 minutes earlier (that’s what I did) , make more crockpot dinners so that you can use that time to complete a quick workout, set out your clothes and pack your lunch the night before.. There’s so many things you can do to free up a little bit of your day – what it really comes down to is are you worth it? Because if you are, you will make a healthier lifestyle a priority. You will make the time. Everything will fall into place with just a little effort. So are you worth it?
Well, I’m here to tell you that you absolutely are.
I’m also here to tell you that if you have any doubts as to whether or not these products work – they do. After one round of 21 Day Fix I had not only lost 5 pounds and 5.5 inches, but had gained so much in terms of knowledge and community. I learned how to portion my meals so as to not overeat. I learned about what my body needs in order to achieve the weight and strength goals that I am chasing. I learned that I am so much stronger mentally and physically than I ever imagined. I learned that this company – and the people who take part in it – really have people’s best interest and well being at heart.. and the list goes on and on.
After changing the way that I eat, my hair skin and nails are noticeably healthier. I have tons more energy and no longer feel that crash around 2 pm. I have muscles that I haven’t seen since I was an athlete in high school and I just feel better going about my day. I feel like I’m accomplishing something. That I’m doing good for not only me, but others as well.
It all comes down to you and your fitness goals and what you want to achieve. It also comes down to whether or not you’re ready to make a commitment to yourself. Once you have those questions answered – you really have everything you need. If you’re someone who wants to better your life and help others do the same, shoot me an email (amanda(at)aglimpseofglam.com) and I’ll help you to get the ball rolling!
