Christmas a little early.

Growing up, anything Christmas related had to wait until after Thanksgiving. I’ve sort of inherited that way of thinking ever since leaving home. However, for some reason, this year has been different. My anxiousness is probably related to the fact that we’re expecting. It’s so fun to think about the fact that our decorating now will determine what the house will look like when we bring the baby home. For some reason, that idea is so exciting to me!

That being said, G and I stopped at the Christmas tree farm near our house this weekend. We found a winner, got it home and put it up while Christmas music played in the background and a fire burned in the fireplace. I think there’s something to be said about starting Christmas a little early. What is “early” anyway? Sounds pretty darn subjective if you ask me 😉

what i wore.

The weather here lately has been SO cold (not pictured in these photos is the big black coat I laid on the ground because it didn’t really match lol!). To keep my head warm these next few months, I bought this chunky knit beanie. I actually ordered it in three colors because I love it so much!

I also wore this warm thermal henley (maternity version available here), my favorite pair of maternity jeans and these little brown booties. I’m a big fan of these booties. They actually come in different colors and I’ve been tempted to snag them in gray too.
